Gas Engineer

Job Title: Gas Engineer Location: Crawley and Brighton Salary: £43,884 (OTE: £50k) Call Out Frequency: 1 in 6 weeks Working Hours: Monday - Friday, with overtime available Job Type: Permanent, full-time We are seeking an experienced Gas Engineer to conduct services and repairs on domestic gas appliances within social housing in the Crawley and Brighton areas. With a focus on quality over quantity (6-8 jobs per day), you will enjoy the convenience of a company van and fuel card, and benefit from a supportive work environment that values excellence and professional growth. Responsibilities: * Service and repair domestic gas appliances, including gas boilers and fires * Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal operation * Maintain and monitor the supply, stock, and use of materials * Participate in an ‘out of hours’ service rota (currently every 1 in 6 weeks) * Act as a liaison between residents and internal teams to promptly resolve any property-related issues * Report any non-compliance or process failures to management Skills and Experience Required: * Previous experience as a gas engineer * Excellent customer service skills * Essential qualifications: CCN1, CKR1, CENWAT * Experience in domestic or social housing is advantageous * Desirable (but not essential): HTR1, CONGLP1PD, Unvented Hot Water Systems Benefits: * Competitive salary with attractive OTE * Company van and fuel card provided * Excellent pension scheme * Life assurance * Generous holiday entitlement * Award-winning flexible benefits package * Volunteering days If you are a skilled Gas Engineer looking for a role that combines professional development with quality service delivery, we would love to hear from you.
