Purchasing Manager

Rising Talent Recruitment is thrilled to be partnering with a market-leading manufacturing business based in Fife to recruit a Purchasing Manager – a critical role in driving procurement excellence within a dynamic and innovative environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement professional with a strong background in engineering or manufacturing to take the lead in shaping and optimising the purchasing function. You’ll manage a team of Buyers, ensure compliance with company policies, develop supplier relationships, and drive cost-saving initiatives that directly impact the bottom line. What You’ll Be Doing: Leading, supporting and developing the Purchasing team to deliver best-in-class procurement outcomes. Monitoring and improving Purchasing and Supplier Performance metrics, ensuring targets are met. Negotiating contracts and managing supplier service level agreements. Playing a key role in onboarding new suppliers and maintaining effective supplier relationships. Collaborating with internal teams, including Inventory and Finance, to optimise stock levels and purchasing procedures. Identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities, with clear tracking and reporting of results. Supporting invoice discrepancy resolution and raising Non-Conformance Reports where necessary. What We’re Looking For: Previous experience working in a purchasing supervisory role with a strong background in Manufacturing or Engineering. Oil & Gas experience would be highly advantageous. A relevant qualification in Business, Purchasing or a related field. Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. A self-starter who thrives on responsibility and working collaboratively to achieve results. Why Join?
