Principal Civil Engineer

This client has an opening for a Principal Civil Engineer to support a wide variety of projects in an expanding team. In this key role, you will oversee and manage the design process for a range of projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality designs that meet budgetary and client requirements. What’s on offer: Flexible working arrangements  Medicash allowance Development and training plan Competitive salaries with bonus schemes Generous holiday allowances Health plan Free parking Flexible working ICE approved mentor The role: Day to day project management in the delivery of concept studies and strategies with hands on design, leading to planning applications or construction drawing issue Taking financial responsibility for your projects and being responsible for ensuring your projects are delivered to budget, programme and technical standards Working on varied multi-disciplinary projects and client accounts, liaising with clients at a local and national level Direct line management, including mentoring and managing early career professionals ensuring technical excellence is in everything we deliver Assisting in the preparation of fee proposals, and involvement in business development activities Helping maintains the culture and positive working environment in the team What you need to succeed: A degree in Civil Engineering Line management experience including undertaking of appraisals, identification of training and ensuring performance of junior team member Team management and resource coordination experience Experience working with local authorities, developers and architects on civil engineering aspects of a range of schemes Varied experience working on schemes through the planning process; from pre-app through to condition discharge Civil engineering project management experience including projects combining drainage, external works and highways elements
