Thurrock Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager to join their Children s Safeguarding Team . This is an excellent opportunity to lead a dedicated team committed to supporting vulnerable children and families, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care and protection.
Responsibilities:Provide leadership and management to a team of social workers, offering supervision, support, and guidance.
Ensure the implementation of Thurrock's Strengths-Based Practice Model , fostering a collaborative, family-centered approach to safeguarding.
Oversee complex casework, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
Chair strategy meetings and case discussions, contributing to robust decision-making.
Maintain high standards of professional practice in line with Working Together to Safeguard Children and relevant legislation.
Collaborate with multi-agency partners, ensuring coordinated and effective responses to safeguarding concerns.
Monitor team performance, providing reflective supervision and supporting professional development.
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
Significant experience in a children s safeguarding environment, ideally with prior management experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding procedures.
Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
Commitment to promoting Thurrock s strengths-based and family-focused practice model.
