Rate: GBP42 per hour

Thurrock Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager to join their Children s Safeguarding Team . This is an excellent opportunity to lead a dedicated team committed to supporting vulnerable children and families, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care and protection.

• Provide leadership and management to a team of social workers, offering supervision, support, and guidance.

• Ensure the implementation of Thurrock's Strengths-Based Practice Model , fostering a collaborative, family-centered approach to safeguarding.

• Oversee complex casework, ensuring timely and effective interventions.

• Chair strategy meetings and case discussions, contributing to robust decision-making.

• Maintain high standards of professional practice in line with Working Together to Safeguard Children and relevant legislation.

• Collaborate with multi-agency partners, ensuring coordinated and effective responses to safeguarding concerns.

• Monitor team performance, providing reflective supervision and supporting professional development.

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.

• Significant experience in a children s safeguarding environment, ideally with prior management experience.

• Comprehensive knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding procedures.

• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

• Commitment to promoting Thurrock s strengths-based and family-focused practice model.
