Mechanical Technician

Due to continued success, We are looking to recruit a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our leading international client based on at an Oil Refinery on the South Coast. This is a hands-on position with primary responsibility for rotating equipment maintenance activities. Experience with Pumps, Gearboxes, Fans, Mixers, Motors, Valves and Turbines is all advantageous.

Role and Key Responsibilities

• Workings safely to an industry leading site safety programme
• Working within site requirements for both planned and unplanned maintenances activities on Plant equipment
• The removal, installation and overhaul of rotating equipment
• Asset breakdown maintenance and fault finding of equipment
• Producing comprehensive reports, plans and solutions for equipment

Requirements:

• Time served qualified Mechanical Fitter/Technician in a suitable discipline
• Experience working on process equipment including but not limited to Pumps, Gearboxes, Fans, Mixers, Motors, Valves and Turbines
• Experience within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Industry or a similar working environment
• Experience of having worked within Refineries Power Industries
• Contractors Safety Passport (CCNSG) Card or Country Specific Safety Passport Card
• Good communication skills verbally and written
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Positive, flexible attitude with strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of self-motivation
