Truro and Penwith College is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Civil Engineering Lecturer to join our team on a variable hour’s basis. The successful candidate will primarily deliver the L3 Civil Engineering Apprenticeship program and may also contribute to the T Level course in Design, Surveying, and Planning. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of aspiring civil engineers through innovative teaching and hands-on learning experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
A Civil Engineering degree or related field is required, with a teaching qualification preferred or a willingness to obtain one. Candidates must have industry experience and strong math skills, especially in civil engineering applications. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to simplify complex concepts. A passion for teaching and mentoring is key, with a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. The role requires flexibility in teaching schedules and the ability to deliver lessons both in-person and online.
