Counterbalance FLT Driver

I am currently seeking 2x skilled Forklift Truck Counterbalance Drivers to operate industrial forklifts in a safe and efficient manner for my established client based in Buxton, SK17.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading, unloading, moving, and stacking materials within the warehouse and yard. Attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.

The role is offered as full-time, permanent, with the shifts being 12pm till 8pm Monday to Friday. The role is paying 14.00 per hour, equating to just over 29,000 per year.

Due to location, applicants will need transport.

Duties

• Operate vehicles to transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner
• Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage
• Stack and store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper organization and accessibility
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles to ensure safety and compliance
• Report any malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area
• Assist with inventory control by keeping accurate records of materials moved
• Collaborate with other warehouse or production team members to ensure efficient workflow
• Adhere to company policies and regulations at all times

Hours & Pay:

• Monday to Friday - 12pm till 8pm
• 14.00 per hour
• Permanent from day one

Skills

• Previous experience in a transport/distribution environment preferred however, we will consider candidates with the right hardworking attitude and a passion for the industry
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed
• Basic math skills and understanding of measurement units
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required
• Commitment to safety and quality standards
• Conscientious with excellent time keeping skill set
