Location: North Tyneside Council, NE12 6QQ

Salary: 17.50 to 19 per hour depending upon experience (umbrella/CIS)

Hours: 37 hours per week

About the Role:

North Tyneside Council is seeking an experienced Plasterer to join our Damp & Mould Team. In this role, you will be responsible for tackling damp and mould issues across council properties, carrying out full skims, dot and dab, and general plastering works to a high standard.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to make a real difference in maintaining and improving homes for residents in North Tyneside.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out full skim plastering to rectify damp and mould issues.
• Perform dot and dab work, ensuring high-quality finishes.
• Assess and repair affected walls and surfaces efficiently.
• Work independently or as part of a team to complete scheduled works.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 2 in Plastering (or equivalent qualification).
• Full UK Driving Licence (van provided).
• Asbestos Awareness Certificate (valid and up to date).
• Manual Handling Training Certificate.
• Experience in plastering, damp-proofing, and remedial works.
• Ability to work professionally in occupied and void properties.
• CSCS (ideal but not essential)
