Assistant Accountant

CMA Recruitment Group is delighted to have been instructed to source an Assistant Accountant to join a very well-known organisation based in central Portsmouth, Hampshire.

This varied, interim role will report to the Finance Manager and is based in a friendly, tenured department where there is ample variety with your day-to-day duties. The initial contract will be 6 months with the possibility of extension/permanent contract.

What will the Assistant Accountant role involve?

• Budget monitoring and forecasting and assisting with the preparation of financial accounts and statutory financial statements.
• Financial analysis and providing support to numerous departments for decision making purposes.
• Identifying cost and efficiency savings for the wider business.

Suitable candidate for the Assistant Accountant vacancy?

• AAT qualified or graduate studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
• Possess excellent communication skills in order to forge excellent business relationships.
• Experience in preparing budgets, associated reports and budget monitoring.
• Able to produce basic financial information.
