About the role This role offers a great opportunity to support individuals with complex needs into sustainable employment. As an Employment Advisor with Haringey Works, you’ll work closely with the Criminal Justice Project at The Grove, helping adults with a history of offending and substance misuse overcome barriers to work. Using the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model, you will provide tailored job-focused support, collaborate with partner services, attend female-only sessions, and assist clients with welfare benefits, training, and job retention. Your advocacy will ensure their voices are heard while making a real impact in their lives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of local employment and training services and how they connect with public health and the criminal justice sectors. Knowledge of welfare benefit rules and their impact on individuals with complex needs returning to work is essential. Experience in supporting people with substance misuse issues into employment and an understanding of the criminal justice system and its effects on adults at risk are key requirements. The role requires someone who can work independently, manage a caseload effectively, and collaborate with a multi-agency team. While IPS model training is desirable, a willingness to complete it is welcomed, alongside knowledge of employment law, workplace rights, and reasonable adjustments.
