Field Service Engineer Location: East Anglia and North London Salary: Up to £37,000 per annum + car allowance/company car Type: Full-time, Permanent Start: ASAP Join Our Client in Supporting Life-Saving Technology We're looking for a motivated and hands-on Field Service Engineer to join our client's team and play a crucial role in supporting the repair, maintenance, and servicing of critical medical equipment. You’ll be the face of their service team, helping healthcare professionals across the UK ensure their equipment is reliable, safe, and operating at peak performance. This role is perfect for someone with technical service experience who is passionate about making a real difference in patient care environments. What You’ll Be Doing: * Deliver first-class on-site repair, maintenance, and calibration of medical devices and equipment * Identify and close service contract opportunities within your assigned territory * Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently, keeping customer downtime to a minimum * Provide technical support and training to hospital staff and internal teams when required * Maintain accurate service records and ensure full traceability of work and parts used * Build strong relationships with customers, delivering service that exceeds expectations * Participate in our out-of-hours rota for 24/7 support and emergency call-outs * Collaborate with sales, marketing, and R&D teams to feed back insights and ensure customer satisfaction * Stay up to date with industry regulations, company SOPs, and Quality Management Systems (QMS) * Promote and uphold the reputation and values of the organisation in all customer and partner interactions What We’re Looking For: Essential: * Proven hands-on experience with tools and instruments in a technical service role * Strong communication and relationship-building skills, especially in hospital environments * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (with occasional overseas trips) Desirable: * Experience servicing operating theatre and/or critical care equipment * Background in the healthcare or medical devices industry * Knowledge of product application in clinical settings Key Skills: * Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability * Confident using a range of tools and service instruments * Able to provide training and support in a professional, articulate manner * Quick to learn and absorb technical knowledge across multiple products * Commercial awareness and understanding of healthcare quality standards * A team player with a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism * Awareness of health & safety best practices and regulatory compliance If you are interested in the role of Field Service Engineer and feel that you have the relevant experience, please contact your Recruitment Partner, Lisa Logan at Unicorn Resourcing on (phone number removed) or email (url removed) If this job isn't exactly right for you but you're looking for something new, please contact us for a confidential career discussion.
