The Best Connection are currently recruiting for an experienced Facilities and Maintenance Manager to work at our clients' busy food production facility based in Hedge End, Southampton.
Duties to include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of all facilities within the organisation
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules to ensure optimal functioning of equipment and systems
- Coordinate with external contractors for repairs, renovations, and other facility-related projects
- Conduct regular inspections to identify any maintenance or safety issues and address them promptly
- Create and manage budgets for facility maintenance and repairs
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards
- Collaborate with other departments to support their facility-related needs
- Implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce costs and environmental impact
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in facility maintenance and project management
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Mechanical knowledge to understand equipment operation and troubleshoot issues
Please note that some work will be completed in a chilled environment due to food production.
Due to the working location it is essential to have your own method of transport.
Working hours are Monday to Friday (Apply online only) with occasional overtime in the evening and weekends to suit the maintenance needs of the business.
