Catering Assistant

Manpower is recruiting Dining Room Catering Assistant on behalf of our public sector client.

Location: Llantrisant

Contract: Temporary, ongoing

Job type: Part time

Hours: Shifts are 12.30 pm - 7.00 pm (any 5 days across Monday to Sunday)

Hourly rate: Weekdays 12.21 Saturdays 17.22 Sundays & Bank Holidays 22.34 (rising after 12 weeks)

The Role
You will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to patients, staff, and visitors in our hospital canteen and dining room. We are looking for a motivated and friendly individual to assist with serving food, operating the till, replenishing stock, clearing tables, and managing pot wash duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve meals and beverages to patients, staff, and visitors with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Operate the till, handling cash and card transactions efficiently.
• Replenish food and beverage stock as needed, ensuring all items are well-presented and available.
• Clear tables promptly and maintain cleanliness in the dining area.
• Assist with pot washing and general kitchen cleaning duties.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role.
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate well with others.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work the 12.30 pm - 7.00 pm, including weekends and holidays.
• A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is required (Manpower can support with this)

The role is subject to satisfactory reference checks and standard DBS check. Manpower pays for the cost of the DBS.
