Front of House Supervisor – Country Pub | Surrey Hills | £16 an hour + Tronc Location: Ewhurst, Cranleigh, GU6 7QD Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent Salary: £16 an hour + Tronc Hours: Flexible Daytime / Weekend About the Role We’re looking for a passionate and people-focused Front of House Supervisor to join our vibrant country pub team in the beautiful Surrey Hills. As a Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding guest experiences, supporting day-to-day operations, and leading the front of house team with confidence and warmth. What We Offer * Competitive salary + tips (Tronc) * Flexible working hours and rota * Company pension scheme * Free meals on shift * A fun, welcoming and team-focused environment Your Key Responsibilities * Lead and support the front of house team during service * Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure guests feel welcome * Assist with opening and closing procedures * Handle bookings, walk-ins, and table management efficiently * Support staff training and development * Ensure cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards are maintained * Address and resolve guest queries or issues in a professional manner * Support management with stock control, ordering, and reporting What We’re Looking For * Previous experience in a front of house role (Supervisor or Senior Waiter/Waitress level) * Strong communication and leadership skills * Confident, friendly, and professional demeanor * A genuine passion for hospitality and customer service * Ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment * Great attention to detail and a proactive attitude * Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required Bonus if you have: * First Aid or Food Safety certifications About Us We’re a team that values genuine hospitality, teamwork, and good food served with pride.
