Job Title: Cisco Firewall Specialist (SC Cleared) Location: London (Hybrid - 1-2 days per week onsite) Contract: 6 months Rate: £550 - £600 per day (Inside IR35) About the Role: 83zero is excited to be partnered with a leading financial institution, looking for a Cisco Firewall Specialist to strengthen their security operations during a major upgrade phase. This role will focus on the design, deployment, and support of Cisco security technologies-especially within Cisco ACI and Cisco ASA environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting infrastructure upgrades and network security enhancements across the business. Key Responsibilities: Lead the implementation and support of Cisco ACI and Cisco ASA solutions across enterprise-scale environments Conduct configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of firewalls and network security tools Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and secure infrastructure upgrades Support specific project workstreams, including: ACI Upgrade (4.3 to 6.0): Confident in approach; will reference compatibility matrix and validate upgrade paths MSO > NDO Migration: Has experience with MSO; keen to get hands-on with this transition despite no prior NDO work UCS Network Director (UCSD): Used it approximately 7 years ago; will refresh and upskill as needed Contribute to risk assessments and continuous improvement of security posture Hybrid working model - with flexibility to attend the London office 1-2 times per week Key Requirements: Active SC Clearance (required to start) Solid experience with Cisco ACI and Cisco ASA in large-scale environments Strong network security background, with expertise in firewall policies, risk mitigation, and infrastructure design Confident approach to new technologies and upgrades, including the ability to research and validate best practices Exposure to financial/banking environments is a bonus, not a must Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in hybrid working teams If you're an SC-cleared Cisco Security Specialist looking to take on an exciting role with a top-tier financial organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
