Transit Driver

Peterson are looking for a Transit Driver Responsibilities: - Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials to designated locations - Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items - Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries - Communicate with dispatch to receive delivery instructions and updates - Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays - Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, reporting any issues or concerns - Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries Requirements: - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with dispatch, coworkers, and customers - Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver preferred - Familiarity with local roads and traffic regulations in the area of operation - Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service while on the job.
