Job Advertisement: Construction Manager (Substructure & Superstructure Packages) Location: Oxford, UK Company: Market-Leading Tier 1 Main Contractor Project: New Build RC Frame Commercial Project About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of a prestigious new build RC frame life science project in Oxford. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market-leading Tier 1 contractor with a proven track record in delivering high-profile and complex projects across the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the construction activities from start to finish. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee and manage the internal and external packages, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. * Coordinate and collaborate with subcontractors, site teams, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. * Monitor and manage health, safety, and environmental practices on-site, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies. * Ensure effective communication and reporting across all project teams, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and challenges. * Oversee the planning and scheduling of work activities, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions. * Ensure that all documentation, including quality control, site records, and reports, is maintained and up to date. * Lead and mentor junior staff and operatives, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment. Key Requirements: * Proven experience as a Construction Manager with expertise in substructure and superstructure packages, ideally on RC frame commercial projects. * Solid knowledge of construction techniques, project management principles, and industry regulations. * Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams and stakeholders. * Experience on life science projects is highly desirable * Experience working with Tier 1 contractors or similar high-profile projects. * A degree or equivalent qualification in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (desirable). * SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) and First Aid certification (required). * Experience with project management software and planning tools.
