Female Support Worker


We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Female Support Worker to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health and autism , as well as experience supporting individuals who engage in self-harm . You will also have experience working with children in a care or support setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered support to individuals with mental health conditions and autism .

  • Offer emotional and practical assistance to those who engage in self-harm , promoting positive coping strategies.

  • Support children with their daily routines, emotional well-being, and development .

  • Implement care plans and risk assessments tailored to individual needs.

  • Encourage independence while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment .

  • Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Keep accurate records of support provided and report any concerns.

Requirements

  • Experience working with mental health and autism in a professional setting.

  • Previous experience in self-harm support and working with children.

  • Empathetic, patient, and resilient with excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations.

  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care (desirable but not essential).

  • DBS check required (or willingness to undergo one).

  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
