We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Female Support Worker to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health and autism , as well as experience supporting individuals who engage in self-harm . You will also have experience working with children in a care or support setting.
Key Responsibilities
Provide person-centered support to individuals with mental health conditions and autism .
Offer emotional and practical assistance to those who engage in self-harm , promoting positive coping strategies.
Support children with their daily routines, emotional well-being, and development .
Implement care plans and risk assessments tailored to individual needs.
Encourage independence while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment .
Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams.
Keep accurate records of support provided and report any concerns.
Requirements
Experience working with mental health and autism in a professional setting.
Previous experience in self-harm support and working with children.
Empathetic, patient, and resilient with excellent communication skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations.
Relevant qualifications in health and social care (desirable but not essential).
DBS check required (or willingness to undergo one).
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
