Electrical Buyer

MK Search & Selection have partnered with a well respected electrical contractor with an exciting order book delivering across sectors who are looking for a buyer to join their business. Based from their head office in Stockton on Tees you will work closely with their pre-con and commercial teams to manage the buying function across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure electrical materials, components, and services to meet project requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best terms and ensure timely deliveries.
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and availability to ensure cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with project managers and site teams to forecast material needs.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and relevant regulations.
• Manage inventory levels to optimize project performance and minimize waste.
• Review supplier performance and resolve any delivery or quality issues.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Buyer in the electrical or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical components and materials.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management software.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
