Structural Inspector

Structural Inspector - Permanent - Motherwell

We are hiring a Structural Inspector to assess fabricated components for defects and quality issues. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with welding and fabrication experience , keen attention to detail, and knowledge of NDT techniques .

Responsibilities:

• Inspect structural components using NDT methods (training provided if required).
• Identify defects and decide on component acceptance/rejection.
• Work with engineers to review test results and improve quality processes.
• Use CMM equipment and precision measuring tools (micrometers, verniers, calipers, etc.).
• Support ISO 9001 quality systems and SAP processes .

Requirements:

• Time-served welder or equivalent fabrication/welding qualification.
• 3+ years of fabrication experience in manufacturing (automotive, marine, oil & gas, or similar).
• PCN Level 2 in NPI & UT (or willingness to complete training).
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings and work with measurement tools.
• Experience with quality control processes and SAP systems.
