They are currently seeking a
Fire Systems Engineer
to take a key role in managing the maintenance, compliance, and operation of
fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems
across their sites. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to drive fire safety standards and contribute to a safer working environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the implementation of
fire safety policies and strategies
, ensuring compliance with the
Business Code of Practice
, relevant legislation, and
British and European Standards
.

Identify and implement
compliance improvements
using industry best practices and cost-effective solutions to achieve both short- and long-term objectives.

Oversee the maintenance and operation of
fire detection and suppression systems
, ensuring all systems meet required safety standards.

Manage and coordinate contractors
to service and maintain fire systems across multiple sites.

Provide expert advice on
system condition, suitability, and upgrades
, helping to plan for future obsolescence and system improvements.

Oversee contracts for the supply, installation, and maintenance of fire safety equipment.

Support decision-making and problem-solving by providing specialist advice on fire system maintenance and project delivery.
What We re Looking For:
To succeed in this role, you should have:

Strong knowledge of
fire detection and suppression systems
,
fire safety legislation
, and compliance requirements.

Relevant qualifications in
fire safety and/or electrical disciplines
.

A minimum of
3 years experience
in the
operation and maintenance
of fire systems and associated equipment.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to
manage contractors
and motivate a diverse team.

A
proactive and driven approach
, with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to gather, organize, and interpret data for
logic-based problem-solving

Strong communication skills clear, concise, and effective both verbally and in writing.

computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
and project management.
