Location: South Ockendon

Salary GBP35k to GBP40k

We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations for a construction company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, and leading a team to maintain optimal performance. The Warehouse Manager will play a crucial role in streamlining processes, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and improving overall warehouse efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and distributing goods.
  • Manage and lead a team of warehouse staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to company policies.
  • Develop and implement warehouse strategies to optimize storage, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular stock checks and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, logistics teams, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Implement and monitor performance metrics to improve warehouse efficiency.
  • Train and develop warehouse staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Manage warehouse budgets, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track shipments, stock levels, and workflow.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management software and inventory control systems.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Forklift certification (preferred but not essential).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
  • Relevant certifications in warehouse management or logistics.
  • Minimum of X years of experience in a warehouse management role.

Salary:
