GBP17.29 per hour PAYE

Our public sector client are looking for a Data Analyst to join them on a 3 month contract initially.

We are looking for a Data Analyst to work with refuse and recycling services. The successful applicant will use data including missed bin reports, fleet reports, and telematics to identify trends to improve efficiency of collection crews and improve the quality of information provided to customers and residents.

Key tasks:

Data Collection and Management:
* Gather data:
collect data from various sources, including databases, telematics, councillor enquiries, and other data collection tools.
* Clean and organize data:
ensure the data is accurate, consistent, and in a usable format by cleaning it and removing errors or inconsistencies.
* Design and maintain data systems:
Contribute to the design and maintenance of databases and data collection systems.

Data Analysis and Interpretation:
* Apply statistical techniques:
Use statistical tools and techniques to analyse data and identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
* Develop models:
Create models to predict future outcomes or understand complex relationships within the data.
* Interpret data:
Translate complex data into actionable insights that can be used to inform business decisions.

Communication and Presentation:
* Create reports and visualizations:
Communicate findings through reports, charts, graphs, and other visualizations.
* Present findings to stakeholders:
Present analysis and recommendations to stakeholders, including executives, managers, and other team members.
* Collaborate with other teams:
Work with other teams, such as engineers and programmers, to identify opportunities for process improvements and data governance.
