Prospero Teaching is looking for 1:1 Tutor/Mentors to deliver sessions in either English, Maths or Science.

The Opportunity

This Tutor Opportunity is for a professional tutor and qualified UK teacher to bridge learning gaps and raise attainment. The successful candidate will have outstanding teaching skills both in the classroom and when delivering innovative and engaging learning and a passion for helping students from a range of backgrounds to develop their skills.

We are looking for tutors who are eager to work with children and young people with a variety of learning needs with a creative, flexible and holistic approach to raise attainment and drastically improve the outlook of their educational journey.

• Location - Blandford Forum
• Position - 1:1 Online/face to face Tutor
• Type of work - Contract
• Start date - ASAP
• Duration / Likely Duration - Until sufficient progression is made
• End date (if applicable) - N/A
• Contract type - Temporary
• Full-time/part-time - Part time (dependent on pupils needs)
• Minimum rate of pay - 25 per hour
• Hours - Timetable can vary dependent on pupil availability

Experience, Training and Qualifications of the 1:1 Tutor:

• QTS or equivalent
• A minimum of 1 year UK classroom experience
• Be confident teaching sessions online
• Provide a firm but fair approach
• Have recent safeguarding training or willing to undergo Prospero's course

To be eligible for this role, the potential 1:1 tutor must:

• Hold the right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references.
