What You’ll Be Doing: * Machining Expertise – Guide and support machinists in operating manual lathes, mills, and grinders for precision low-volume production. * Production Oversight – Plan schedules, manage capacity, and optimise machine loading to meet customer demands. * Team Leadership – Motivate, mentor, and manage a small team of skilled machinists, fostering a positive and efficient work environment. * Process Improvement – Collaborate with design engineers, sales, and production teams to drive efficiency and quality. * Machine Maintenance & Tooling – Ensure smooth operations by managing maintenance schedules and tooling requirements. What We’re Looking For: * Time-served machining experience (manual & CNC) with a strong grasp of engineering drawings. * Expertise in precision machining, mould work, and rubber/polyurethane manufacturing. * Supervisory or leadership experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across departments and manage production schedules.
