Supply Chain Coordinator - Food Manufacture


Brand New Role - Supply Chain Coordinator Foods Manufacture - New Deparment / Big Growth £28,000 - £30,000 ASAP Start D R Newitt have been Retained with a Food Manufacture in West Yorkshire who are looking to recruit a Supply Chain Coordinator. My clinet is a leading supplier of food ingredients across who have over 30 years indelivering products to wholesale, food manufacture, hospitality and retail sectors. To support our continuing growth, we’re recruiting a number of experienced administration and sales professionals to join us. The company is very supportive and motivated business, focused on providing the best products and service to our valued customers. We need an enthusiastic, highly organised individual who can coordinate their orders along the entire supply chain and carry out administration tasks to ensure the smooth running of our business. What’s involved: • Expedite purchase orders for domestic & international suppliers, reviewing any order confirmation queries, chasing suppliers for deliveries • Monitoring stock levels to ensure consistent stock availability, amending orders as required • Liaise with Sales regarding stock queries • Liaise with internal departments to coordinate deliveries to our main warehouse • Support the Supply Chain Manager • Dealing with all import logistics administration for each delivery, including keeping the system up to date, monitoring ETAs, using shipper portals, and ensuring compliance • Manage shipping documents (invoice, bill of lading, certificate of origin) • Working with our transport providers to arrange loadings, monitor the transport and arrange the deliveries into stock, as well as directly to customers nationwide • Build and maintain a good relationship with some of our key customers, processing their orders and keeping them informed at all times • Handling delivery non-conformances and product returns when required • Processing purchase orders and related shipping documents •Negotiating rates with current and potentially new transport providers • Managing time critical tasks whilst maintaining a high level of service • Liaising with other departments such as Technical to meet the needs of the business • Ensuring pricing accuracy and monitoring contract usage • Keeping spreadsheets, our ERP and relevant departments up to date at all times • Office/ administrative support such as data entry, scanning, phone queries, record keeping, filing, maintaining records What we’re looking for: • You will need at least 3 years experience of working within a stock based role, ideally importing • Experience of sea freight an advantage • Graduate preferred • Excellent time management skills along with the ability to multi-task • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills • Strong written and oral communication skills • Ability to use initiative, prioritise and manage own workload • A good team player • Works well under pressure • Conscientious, self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible
