Junior Copywriter - Fixed Term


Junior Copywriter
Location : Flexible in UK
Salary : GBP27,123.00 - GBP28,956.00 Per Annum
Benefits : Pension Scheme, Life Assurance Scheme, 26 days' Annual Leave
Contract : Fixed Term for 12 months
Hours : Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

The RSPB reserves the right to extend or make this role permanent without further advertising dependent on business needs at the end of the contract term.

This vacancy offers a chance to immerse yourself in a charity creative team for 12 months and gain copywriting skills across a range of channels and audiences.

You will gain transferable skills in:

  • Working to deadlines
  • Responding to approver feedback

You will also get:

  • A portfolio of work across different platforms
  • The successful candidate will be a skilled and creative writer, demonstrated through experience including coursework, volunteering or community groups, or personal endeavours.

Responsibilities:

  • Writing for a range of audiences and channels, using RSPB brand tone of voice
  • Bringing complex ideas to life in a clear and engaging manner
  • Working collaboratively to solve communications challenges

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Excellent writing skills and basic understanding of editorial and marketing copy
  • Ability to consider the needs of difference audiences
  • Experience of creating content on a variety of different channels, including web, email and social media
  • Good team-working skills with a practical approach, happy to pick up work from others in the team
  • Communication skills and the ability to take a complex idea and distil it into copy that is easy to understand and mean people take action
  • Able to show initiative and problem-solve

Desirable:

  • Keen interest in nature and issues affecting the environment
