HGV Repairs Technician

Xpert Resourcing are delighted to be working with a growing manufacturing and engineering business based close to Scunthorpe who are looking to recruit this busy role carrying out critical repair works and liaising with customers.

A company vehicle is provided for work travel.

Duties will include:

• Carrying out fault finding and inspections on client vehicles.
• Technical repairs to key components.
• Working on large machinery.
• Attending customer sites to support with warranty issues or repairs.
• Allocating manpower for specific jobs and deadlines.
• Costing of jobs for repair work.
• Providing customer quotations for work to be carried out.
• Repairing and replacing pneumatic and hydraulic components.
• Responsibility for Health & Safety of the team.
• Carry out quality control inspections in order to prevent future warranty disputes or claims.
• Managing a small team of technicians.

Experience / skills required:

• A good understanding of mechanical / hydraulic systems.
• Experience of managing staff.
• MIG and TIG welding skills.
• Experience of working with aluminium will be an advantage.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Hours of work:

• Monday to Friday
• 40 Hours per week
