We have an exciting opportunity to join us as an Assessor on a fixed-term (12 months), full-time (37 hours per week) basis. The role will predominantly be working from home (with occasional UK travel). MOL are a training provider who specialise in professional qualifications for learners who work full time and study part time. We deliver international CIPD programmes at Levels 3, 5 and 7 and the majority of our courses are fully online. MOL learners are busy HR professionals, balancing work, home life and study and need the great support we offer to help them succeed. The Assessor role will be responsible for reviewing and grading HR-related assessments, ensuring they meet established guidelines and standards. This role involves evaluating the knowledge, skills, and competencies demonstrated by learners, providing constructive and developmental feedback, and maintaining consistency in marking. The Assessor role will play a key role in maintaining the credibility and quality of our HR qualifications. Be the first point of contact on all assessment-related content, offering support and guidance to challenge and support learners in achieving their qualification goals. Review and mark HR-related assessments, assignments, or case studies based on pre-defined marking criteria. Ensure consistency and fairness in marking across all assessments. Provide clear, constructive, and developmental feedback to learners to enhance their understanding and performance. Highlight areas of excellence and areas requiring improvement. Ensure marking aligns with both MOL's and the Awarding Organisation's standards, benchmarks, and industry best practices. Monitor learner progress, including making contact with learners who either fail to submit an assessment or are referred on an assessment. Provide support and guidance through 1-1 telephone tutorials, email and our VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) - including facilitating online discussions and activities. Adhere to confidentiality and data protection policies while handling learner information. Maintain accurate records of assessment results. Work closely with tutors, the product manager, and the quality team to address ambiguities in assessments. Commit to personal development to maintain and enhance your own professional experience. Be responsible for maintaining appropriate internal and external quality standards.You will need (Essential): Excellent written communication skills for providing precise and meaningful feedback. Familiarity with HR concepts, frameworks, and best practices. CIPD qualification - or be willing to work towards a CIPD qualification. An understanding of the demands of academic study. Commitment to ongoing CPD.You will need (Desirable): Prior experience in assessment marking is preferred. The ability to provide excellent verbal and written developmental feedback. A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CIPD, HRM). Tutoring / teaching experience.
