Supplier Development Engineer

Supplier Development Engineer Location: Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey Job Type: Permanent Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 We are seeking a skilled Supplier Development Engineer to manage and develop supplier relationships, ensuring high-quality standards and continuous improvement across the supply chain. This is a great opportunity to work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to drive performance and enhance supplier management strategies. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee supplier audit management and ensure compliance with business management systems. * Develop and maintain supplier monitoring processes using analytical techniques, KPIs, and scorecards. * Manage supplier quality documentation, ensuring records are up to date and accurate. * Lead problem-solving initiatives using 8D Root Cause and Corrective Action methodologies. * Conduct 1st and 2nd party audits (lead auditing qualification desirable). * Support supplier selection strategies for new product introduction and oversee continuous improvement initiatives. * Analyse trends in non-conformances and implement corrective actions. * Deliver in-house training to support supplier approval programs. What We’re Looking For In Our Supplier Development Engineer: * Proven experience in a supplier management role within a quality-focused environment. * Strong planning and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of Six Sigma (Green Belt desirable). * Experience working in aerospace or automotive industries preferred. * Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel. * Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. * Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to engage with teams of 10-50 people.
