Depot Electrician / Maintenance Engineer

We're seeking a proactive Depot Electrician / Maintenance Engineer to handle electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations across depot facilities. The role supports smooth operations through both planned and reactive maintenance, while also contributing to general building upkeep.

• Conduct routine checks, fault-finding, and repairs on electrical systems and machinery.

• Install, inspect, and test equipment in line with safety and regulatory standards (e.g., BS 7671).

• Perform general maintenance on mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and infrastructure.

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures, including testing and certification.

• Keep accurate maintenance logs and provide recommendations for improvements.

• Collaborate with depot staff and contractors; support junior team members as needed.

Qualifications:

• Electrical Installation (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)

• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

• PAT Testing certification (preferred)

Experience & Skills:

• Electrical maintenance in depot/industrial settings

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with mechanical/general building systems

• Able to read schematics and work independently or in a team
