Health and Safety Advisor

Health & Safety Advisor Location: Gloucester EFW, GL10 3ET Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday Salary: Circa £45,000 - DOE Key Responsibilities of a Health & Safety Advisor * Advising managers and supervisors on all safety, health, and welfare matters. * Ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other relevant legislation. * Conducting health and safety inspections/audits and preparing reports. * Investigating all accidents, incidents, hazards, and near-miss events. * Developing and delivering Health & Safety training for employees. * Monitoring and supporting managers to maintain a strong health and safety culture. * Liaising with external regulatory bodies such as the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), Fire Service, and Police. Key Skills of a Health & Safety Advisor * NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health (or equivalent) * Membership of IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety & Health) * Strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation * Experience in a similar role (waste management, recycling, collections, or quarry industries is a plus) * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills * Full UK driving licence First Base Employment is acting as a recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
