Senior Quantity Surveyor Buckingham, Buckinghamshire £70,000 + £8,500 Car Allowance (Negotiable Depending on Experience) Bonus Scheme Included Are you a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor with a background in groundworks and structural packages? We’re supporting a well-established sub-contractor that plays a pivotal role in delivering major groundworks for steel frame construction projects across the region. Known for high-quality delivery and long-standing client relationships, they are now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial management of multiple live projects. The Opportunity: This is a key position overseeing between 4–5 projects at a time, with average values of around £2.5 million. You’ll take full ownership of commercial activities—from tender stage through to final account—ensuring profitability, compliance, and client satisfaction at every stage. Key Responsibilities: * Lead cost planning and commercial strategy across groundworks projects * Prepare and manage accurate cost reports and forecasts * Oversee subcontract procurement and payments * Ensure contractual compliance (JCT and NEC) * Liaise with project managers, site teams, and clients on progress and financial updates * Drive value engineering opportunities without compromising quality What We’re Looking For: * Strong experience in the groundworks sector * Proven track record managing multiple concurrent projects * Excellent knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes * Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills * Organised, methodical, and commercially minded What’s On Offer: * £70,000 basic salary (negotiable DOE) * £8,500 car allowance * Performance-related bonus scheme * Long-term pipeline of local projects * Supportive team culture with genuine opportunities to progress
