Electrical Estimator

Job Title: Electrical Estimator Location: Dartford Kent Salary: Competitive (Dependent on Experience) Job Type: Permanent About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join a well-established and growing M&E contractor based in Dartford. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who can confidently produce accurate electrical tenders and cost estimates for a variety of commercial and residential projects. Key Responsibilities: * Preparing detailed electrical estimates for commercial Projects Ranging from 100k to £10 million * Reviewing and interpreting tender documentation, drawings, and specifications. * Conducting cost analysis and risk assessments for potential projects. * Sourcing and negotiating supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure cost-effective solutions. * Collaborating with the pre-construction and design teams to develop competitive proposals. * Managing and maintaining an accurate database of pricing and supplier information. * Attending client meetings, site visits, and bid presentations as required. * Ensuring all tenders are completed within deadlines and to a high standard. Key Requirements: ✅ Experience: Proven background as an Electrical Estimator within the M&E or construction industry. ✅ Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical installations, systems, and regulations. ✅ Estimating Software: Proficiency in estimating software such as Trimble, Amtech, Ensign, or similar. ✅ Analytical & Commercial Acumen: Ability to accurately price projects and assess risk factors. ✅ Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. ✅ Attention to Detail: Ability to review specifications and drawings meticulously to ensure accurate estimates.
