IT Teacher


We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP/YOI Doncaster, as an IT Teacher. This position is offered on a permanent, full time basis, working 37 hours per week.

Site Information

HMP Doncaster is a category B local resettlement prison situated in South Yorkshire. The prison houses a male population. HMP Doncaster also operates as a resettlement prison working with prisoners, particularly those serving less than 12-months, to ensure that they have the support they need for resettlement as well as access to the services and support available to them after release.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Teaching qualification and where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification - with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months
  • Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)/ Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) or commit to work towards within a specified timeframe.
