Floor Layer - Yeovil / West

We have an exciting new role for a floor layer in Yeovil with a busy and reputable housing association. You will be covering a large patch using the company van so you must be happy travelling around to various properties.

The first 12 weeks of this role will be on a temp basis through us as an agency, after the 12 weeks you will move onto a permanent contract.

Rate while temp will be GBP17.61ph including holiday pay.

Requirements:

• Accurately measure, prepare floors using latex or plywood and fit vinyl sheet flooring, safety flooring or vinyl tiles in social housing properties.
• Accurately measure, prepare floors and fit underlay, gripper rods and carpet in properties.
• Talk customers through a limited amount of flooring options
• Order materials
• Carry out flooring repairs
• Use Schedule of Rates to ensure orders are carried out to the correct value
• Provide a high quality service to customers
• Maintain paperwork
• Assist other trades as a when required
• Use company technology to obtain and log job updates
