Finance Accountancy Officer

Service Care Solutions are working alongside a Local Authority in Conwy who are looking for a Finance Accountancy Officer to join their team on a temporary contract. Please find a description of the role below.

Role: Finance Accountancy Officer
Rate: 14.36 - 16.81 (PAYE) 15.80 - 18.62 (Umbrella)
Location: Conwy
Contract: 3 months on going
Working: Hybrid

Role Overview:

Assist in preparing annual school budgets and year-end accounts.
Support the production of financial forecasts and reports for schools.
Visit schools regularly to offer advice on budgets and resolve financial queries.
Respond to queries from schools, suppliers, and internal departments regarding payments and charges.
Maintain the Primary School Financial Reporting System, ensuring monthly reconciliations and data accuracy.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, VAT, CITDS, and audit requirements.
Assist with creditor payments, including order logging and regulatory checks.
Stay informed on relevant financial legislation and practices.
