Welfare / Student Support Assistant - Secondary School Location: Barnet, North London Start Date: Tuesday 22nd April 2025 Hours: Full-time | Monday to Friday | 8:15am - 4:00pm Hourly Rate: £14 - £16 per hour (depending on experience) Contract: Long-term role A welcoming and supportive secondary school in Barnet is looking to appoint a reliable and caring Welfare / Student Services Assistant to join their team from April 22nd, 2025 on a long-term, full-time basis. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the wellbeing and daily support of students, including managing minor medical needs, assisting with pastoral care, and providing administrative support to the wider team. Key Responsibilities: Provide first aid and welfare support to students throughout the school day. Monitor and manage the medical and attendance records in line with school policy. Be the first point of contact for unwell or injured students, parents, and staff. Support the pastoral and safeguarding team with daily administrative tasks. Assist in maintaining a calm, safe, and supportive school environment.
