Technical Sales Engineer - Colchester - Up to 40,000 + Bonus

A leading manufacturer providing advanced industrial solutions for a diverse range of industries are currently seeking an enthusiastic Technical Sales Engineer to join their team in Colchester. They pride themselves on providing top-quality products and exceptional customer service

As a dynamic and customer-focused Technical Sales Engineer you will be the first point of contact for customers. You will be responsible for specifying dust and fume extraction solutions and supporting sales efforts. This role requires a technical mind, knowledge of the manufacturing environment, and excellent sales and customer relationship skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Become familiar with our market-leading range of dust, fume, and mist extraction units
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for customer queries
  • Develop and close sales of all product ranges to help achieve company sales targets
  • Produce quotes for new units, spares, and services as appropriate
  • Work closely with other members of the sales team to ensure all customers are fully and professionally cared for
  • Maintain customer records and CRM system
  • Provide technical advice to existing and potential customers
  • Occasionally visit customers or attend exhibitions to support sales activities


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong sales and customer relationship skills
  • Technically minded, with the ability to understand a range of manufacturing and engineering processes
  • Ability to grasp and convey technical concepts
  • Valid driving license
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is essential
  • Experience in dust and fume extraction sales is not essential, as on-the-job training will be provided
  • Comfortable working in a small company with a close-knit team
