HGV Class 2 Event Driver

JAM Staffing Solutions are recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Drivers for our Walsall based client.

Working for a large Events Company, delivering Event hire equipment, such as tables, chairs and catering equipment all over the country. The work involves a huge amount of handball, as you must be prepared to load and unload the vehicle via tail lifts, set up events and then take down. Working in a team, and to set time scales, so a good sense of urgency will be required and you must be physically fit, due to nature of work.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Minimum of 2 years HGV Class 2 experience required for insurance purposes.

Must hold valid licence for the category of vehicle, CPC and Digi card.

The job role includes:

• Delivering Event furniture and catering equipment to national events.
• Loading and unloading the vehicle.
• Work involves helping set up events.
• Being able to start work at any time of the day or night, with short notice if required.
• Be prepared to do some nights out, depending on destination of event.

Must be a team player as this position involves getting the job completed within time scales set out by the company.

Must be polite and smart of appearance, as this is a customer facing role.

This is a temporary seasonal contract.

Pay is 16.50ph, Nights out are also paid for.
