Grounds Maintenance Operative

Location: Abingdon
Pay Rate: GBP13.62 - GBP14.21 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

We are looking for a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team in Abingdon, delivering high-quality maintenance services to a variety of clients. This role involves working outdoors as part of a team to ensure green spaces are kept in excellent condition.

• Perform a range of grounds maintenance tasks, including grass cutting, strimming, hedge pruning, and flower bed maintenance.

• Maintain a safe working environment by following health and safety guidelines.

• Carry out routine maintenance and safety checks on all equipment.

• Work efficiently within a team to meet service standards and deadlines.

• Operate various tools and equipment, such as strimmers, backpack blowers, and push mowers.

• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

• Full, valid UK Driving License (essential).

• Willingness to learn and take part in training.

• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures.

• Experience working in a busy team and providing high-quality service.

• Previous experience in a similar Grounds Maintenance role (desirable but not essential).

• Competitive hourly pay (GBP13.62 - GBP14.21 per hour).
