Senior Accountant

Bennett & Game are pleased to be partnering an experienced accountancy practice based in Bury as they recruit for a Senior Accountant. Offering a competitive salary in the region of 35,000 but purely depends on experience, 28 days holiday, 1 day a week hybrid working, auto enrolment pension, progression and development, and more.

They are a highly reputable practice working with businesses across Greater Manchester, and the north west, priding themselves on providing an excellent service, and understanding what makes their clients tick

They are looking for an ambitious accountant with a minimum of 3 year's experience, qualified or part qualified, and someone experienced in providing excellent client services. • Managing a diverse portfolio of clients, acting as the primary point of contact, consisting of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Attend and lead client meetings, providing advice on financial matters and business strategy
• Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders up to review stage
• There is the opportunity to do some audit work within the audit team
• Completing and review VAT returns and ensure all deadlines are met
• Assist with the preparation and review of management accounts
• Supervise and support junior staff, reviewing their work and assisting in their development

• Minimum of 3 years accountancy practice experience
• ACA/ACCA qualified or part qualified or qualified by experience is also acceptable
• Experience in conducting client meetings, and preparing accounts up to final review, is beneficial
• Must be well spoken, polite, and personable. Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills are required
• Must be able to commute to Bury
• No requirement for visa sponsorship
