Job Title: Commercial Maintenance Electrician

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: Circa GBP50k (DOE) + Benefits

Job Description:
As a Commercial Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimising and fault finding solar PV systems and EV charging infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on solar PV systems and EV charging infrastructure.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults on electrical systems to minimise downtime.
  • Conduct electrical testing and inspections to BS 7671 (18th Edition) standards.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and provide accurate reports to management.
  • Assist in the commissioning of new installations and system upgrades.
  • Collaborate with clients and contractors to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate (BS 7671).
  • AM2 Qualification (Achievement Measurement 2).
  • Gold Card (ECS/JIB Approved Electrician).
  • 2391 Testing and Inspection or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills within the renewables sector.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience with Solar PV systems or EV charging infrastructure (desirable but not essential).
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and remote monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of battery storage and energy management systems.
