We are one of the highest performing colleges nationally on all courses at all levels. Our current Construction provision consists of full-time courses and apprenticeships from entry level to advanced in the majority of trade areas including Painting and Decorating, Bricklaying & Carpentry.

We are looking for someone who works with confidence with a wide variety of ability levels, who is a committed team member and who projects an enthusiasm for their subject. The successful applicant will be expected to provide high quality teaching on education programmes, with a core focus on the planning, delivery, and portfolio building of our Apprenticeship provision in Level 2 and Level 3 Carpentry.

The successful candidate will be teaching and delivering on our Carpentry courses, with a particular emphasis on site-based carpentry. Delivery will include both practical and theory sessions covering a range of elements, such as Health and Safety, Woodworking Joints, the Construction and Assembly of Doors, Windows, Stairs, Kitchens, Roofing, and a range of first and second fix tasks.

Applicants should be well qualified in the subject area and ideally have a relevant teaching qualification, although there may be opportunities for those wishing to move into teaching as a change in career direction. If you are not a qualified teacher already, this should not deter you from applying. For example, if you are an experienced industry professional looking for a career change, then funding may be available to support teacher training.

The right applicant should have an understanding of quality assurance and monitoring to ensure the highest standards are maintained. There is a strong expectation of student focus, ensuring learners are ready and properly prepared for the profession they are entering.

*Salary as advertised is based on a qualified lecturer. Non-qualified applicants will be considered but will be paid on a non-qualified lecturer scale.
