Trainee Accounting Technician (AAT) and Trainee Tax Technician (ATT)

Location: Plymouth, Devon (hybrid working options available)

Hours: 36.25 hours / 5 days per week

Salary: GBP21,000 per annum+

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions, operating as an employment agency, are currently recruiting for a Trainee Accounting Technician and Trainee Tax Technician to join our clients team in their Plymouth branch.

You will undertake both practical and theoretical training whilst studying for your AAT qualification under an apprenticeship agreement. The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is a professional qualification which can help you to achieve a rewarding career in accountancy. Studying for Level 3 and Level 4 AAT apprenticeship qualifications includes learning the fundamentals of bookkeeping and accounting standards, as well as personal and business tax.

Following the completion of your AAT qualification, your career path in Corporate Tax will be bolstered by furthering your education with the ATT qualification under an apprenticeship agreement. The Association of Tax Technicians (ATT) is essential for your specialisation in tax, and is the fundamental study prior to the CTA qualification if you wish to progress your career in tax further.

The role:

      Supporting the team in providing a range of accounting and taxation services to clients

Prepare financial information, reports and returns for a wide range of clients, both businesses and individuals whilst also using computer software to record financial transactions

Prepare and provide personal and company tax computations, regular VAT returns and bookkeeping services

Information gathering to analyse and report information about income and expenditure to support decision making, planning and control

About you:

      Analytical, methodical, and numerical.

Able to multi task well

Oragnised individual

Able to prioritise and meet deadlines

Good working knowledge of Word and Excel.

Ability to learn new IT skills quickly.

Strong track record in obtaining qualifications often indicated by strong results in GCSE's, A Levels or other academic history
