What you'll be doing: * Preparing accurate and competitive mechanical cost estimates for tender submissions. * Analysing project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine scope and requirements. * Undertaking detailed take-offs of mechanical quantities. * Obtaining and evaluating quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. * Identifying and assessing potential risks and opportunities within estimates. * Contributing to value engineering exercises. * Working closely with the wider estimating team and other departments. * Maintaining and updating estimating databases and cost information. What you'll need: * Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the M&E industry. * A strong understanding of mechanical building services systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and pipework. * Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Proficiency in relevant estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. * A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work.
