Senior Fieldwork Operator

The Role

The Senior Fieldwork Operator will carry out fieldwork operations (spraying, groundwork, weeding etc) and support the owner of the Molyneux Kale Company in running all the farming operations of this innovative sustainable vegetable farm which grows >200Ha of brassicas, and other speciality crops. In addition the role will support the wider operation as required (eg. harvesting, yard work etc).

We are a small operation but work closely as a team to grow, and pack Kale, Cabbage, Italian Chicory and other speciality crops. We are unique in selecting and maintaining our own varieties of brassicas, and are working hard on innovative sustainable growing practices for field vegetables.

Qualifications - Required - PA1/PA2 certificates. Ideal FLT, PA4 and Basis registered.

Experience - Minimum 1 year experience working in a horticultural enterprise preferably brassicas.

Person - We are looking for someone who can work under their own supervision, and work the hours/times necessary to complete the jobs in the best conditions. They will work closely with the Owner and other key operatives in business, so will need to be happy working alongside others. Working knowledge of Assurance and Pesticide legislation required as well as being a capable administrator recording necessary details neatly and efficiently.
