Management Accountant

Working on an exclusive basis with our client based in Rotherham we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Management Accountant to take full responsibility for the management accounting of a group company and integrate the reporting into SAGE. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in implementing systems and financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. This position requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of financial management practices.

The job

• Prepare and maintain accurate Monthly Management Accounts.
• Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
• Cashflow management and forecasting
• Accurate 'flash' reports mid-month
• Utilise accounting software to provide efficient financial management.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Provide mentoring and support to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative working environment.
• Analyse financial performance and provide recommendations for improvements to enhance profitability.
• Management of budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Assist with Year End and liaise with external auditors during the audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.

You

• Part Qualified/Studying or Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
• Proven experience in Management Accounting roles is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in SAGE and Excel
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial services principles.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being capable of working independently.
• Effective communication skills to convey financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
