Site Manager No2

We have a requirement for a No.2 Site Manager (Ideally from a Engineering background) for a project in Hemel Hemstead.

Strat date 12th May 2025 for a 20 week duration.

Our client are a specialist contractor, working for a main contractor. They will be responsible for a 3 storey, steel frame building with pre cast concrete planks, 2 stair cores. The project is part of the redevelopment of an old Amazon warehouse. The main contractor have done the groundworks.

The role is the No 2 on site - primarily to support the Site team by taking on the quality inspections and record keeping (which is fairly extensive, but not excessive), to provide a second pair of eyes to the overall supervision of the site, to provide general support to the Site Manager.

If the candidate was from a site engineering background, they would ask them to do a few spot checks of the structure.

The successful person will need a valid CSCS card (ideally White or black) and SSSTS or SMSTS.

They must be thoroughly computer literate, and provide their own computer, as we are unable to provide any IT equipment. They must have a good understanding of a range of construction practices and techniques, and comfortable with the administration the role requires.

They must be a good communicator, and happy to work as part of a team.
